B&C Fire Safety has an immediate opening for a qualified Fire Alarm and Security Service Technician, Fire Alarm Installation Technician, and Fire Alarm Apprentice to assist in our continued growth.
Fire Alarm and Security Service/Install Technician Job Requirements/Duties:
- Responsible for the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of electronic communication systems, including but not limited to, Nurse Call, Pro Sound, Paging, Intercom, Security/Access Control, CCTV, and Fire Alarm. The Electronics Systems Technician is responsible for installing and servicing the systems in the most efficient and effective manner to assure minimum down time and maximum performance. All installations and service must meet the highest quality standards set forth by B&C Fire Safety, Inc., while assuring a professional and safe working environment. The Installation Lead is responsible for communicating system performance to the customer.
- Responds to customer's service-related issues promptly
- Leading the projects/technicians to a successful completion from start to finish
- Responsible for the final hookup of electronics equipment for new jobs
- Tests and documents readings for customer's systems
- Troubleshoots and repairs electronic components
- Trains and instructs the customer on the proper use of the equipment
- Responsible for reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
- Responsible for operation of the following test equipment: Voltmeter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Multimeter, and Impedance Meter
- Assists with preventive maintenance of customer equipment
- Research and obtain information on specific training opportunities
- The Installation Lead Technician shall possess a two-year electronics degree or equivalent combination of education and related field experience.
- A working knowledge of Communications systems / Fire Alarm Systems / Security Systems is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized.
- Computer skills are necessary
- Nicet or equivalent certification and FASA/BASA certification a plus
Fire Alarm Apprentice Technician Job Requirements/Duties:
- Fire Alarm Apprentice are responsible for assisting Fire Alarm Technician
- Must have aptitude for the trade and a willingness to learn

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent /Possess a valid and clean driver’s license/pass drug screen and criminal background check
