Reporters
Family-owned newspaper in spectacular Southwest Colorado seeks two Reporters.
The Durango Herald, an award-winning newspaper in spectacular Southwest Colorado, has two reporter positions open, one covering breaking news and city government, the other covering education and business. Experienced and enterprising reporters are preferred. We want reporters who are digitally minded, ambitious, and hardworking.
* The breaking news and city government reporter must be fast, accurate, and able to work on deadlines.
* The education and business reporter must be enterprising, creative, and thorough in his/her approach to covering K-12, higher education, and the business community in Southwest Colorado.
Reporters at The Durango Herald are focused on readership and growing online audiences. We publish three printed editions per week in Durango and a weekly in Cortez. A full-time photographer and videographer is on staff, but reporters frequently are required to provide photos for their stories.
