Senior Corporate Accountant
Job Description
A leading Electrical Contractor company located in College Station; Texas has an immediate need for a Senior Corporate Accountant to join our team. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual to take ownership of this important role that has the potential to grow into a managerial position. Position will be under limited supervision and have a wide variety of accounting and administrative duties including complex consolidation & inter-company transitions, financial statement preparation, monthly closing, general ledger, accounts payable & receivable processes, revenue accounting and general management reporting.

Duties and Functions include:
Assist in preparing multi-company consolidations.
Assist with accounting for complex inter-company transactions.
Maintain general ledger including account analysis and reconciliations. Analyze internal financial statements, and various management reports.
Perform fixed asset accounting, including work in progress jobs, rental equipment tracking, depreciation, and accounting for disposal properties.
Oversee corporate bank reconciliation process.
Manage accounting for Inventory processes. Perform job cost accounting and analysis.
Ensure sales and use tax and personal property tax compliance.
Assist in coordinating audits and reviews with external auditors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting CPA certification a plus.
Must be detail oriented, highly motivated, able to prioritize multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Experience working in mid-sized company environment is preferred.
Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word)
Able to take direction and work under little supervision. Must be a team player and have a positive attitude.
Effective documentation, teamwork, and communication skills are required
Experience with Spectrum software a plus, but not required.
7-10 years accounting experience.
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,000.00 to $95,000.00 /year
