Warehouse Worker
Responsible for pulling all raw materials needed for production. Making sure inventory in the cold storage is accurate when moving raw materials to a staging area. Putting finished goods into a location after they have been closed by production. Shipping any orders to customers and receiving any raw materials requiring cold storage. Duties include but not limited to material handling - Distribution of raw materials for the formulation of product(s), (re)organization, cycle-counting, picking, putting-away, shipping, receiving, data entry - of raw materials, finished goods, and rework in the dry storage locations.
This position is not limited to the above description as other responsibilities may include tasks, projects, or plans given by Management.
Starting Pay: $18 per hour
Monday - Friday
2nd Shift
Primary Responsibilities
- Pick all raw materials required from the cold storage and place them into a staging area for production the next day
- Assure accurate inventory counts
- Comply with all GMP’s
- Supply of raw materials for the formulation of product(s)
- Maintaining the accuracy of the perpetual inventory, as well as the traceability of all product movement within dry storage
- Maintain location accuracy in warehouse location database
- Comply with all GMP’s
Secondary Responsibilities
- Shipping customer orders
- Receiving any raw materials in a safe and high-quality manner
- Putting any frozen or refrigerated finished goods into a location after being closed by production
- Restocking of any raw material that production will not use for that day
- Maintain a clean and organized cold/dry storage environment following a Master Sanitation schedule
- Responsible for shipping of finished goods in a safe and high-quality manner
- Cycle counting inventory
Work Experience Requirements
- Forklift experience
- Cycle count knowledge
- Scanner and automated warehousing experience
- Must have been trained and able to understand role of position and responsibilities as they relate to Food Safety & Quality
- Experience & knowledge shipping and receiving
- Proper rotation of all finished goods (I.E., FIFO)
Skills & Abilities
- Drive forklift
- Use handheld scanners
- Have computer skills (Deacom, excel, word)
- Withstand a cold environment for extended periods of time
- Teamwork skills
- Basic computer skills
Training / Licensing / Certification Requirements
- Forklift certified
- Hazmat certified
Work Task Requirements (Safety Requirements)
- Must use protective equipment when needed (includes apparel for cold storage environments)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Proper footwear required to prevent slipping, tripping, an/or falling
- Must use proper lifting techniques
