SCPSA is pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for the following position: Part Time Wastewater Treatment Operator This is a part-time position in our Treatment, Sewage Collection, and Water Distribution Department. The official job classification is Assistant Operator/Pay Band 2, Operator/Pay Band 3, or Senior Operator/Pay Band 4, depending on successful candidate's experience and qualifications. This position of part-time Wastewater Treatment Operator is responsible for helping operate, organize, and participate in the wastewater treatment and collection activities of SCPSA. Successful candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a valid driver's license. Successful candidates must possess a Virginia Wastewater Operator License Class 1, 2, or 3 (or equivalent from another state with Virginia reciprocity) and a minimum of five years working in a municipal wastewater treatment plant. Familiarity with Commonwealth of Virginia Sewage Collection and Treatment Regulations is desired. Successful applicants must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. License class and experience will be used to determine the wage rate. Applicants must submit a completed official SCPSA application.
