The University of Virginia’s College at Wise seeks a full time Administrative Systems Integrations Specialist to support the Office of Information Technology. Candidates should have the desire and ability to work hard in a team environment and quickly master new technologies.
Responsibilities
· Oversight of data collection that assists the organization to make better data-informed decisions.
· Using project management best practices to ensure projects are implemented on time
· Ensure high quality, responsiveness and performance of business applications
· Automate specific business processes through available software
· Break down business requirements and work flows to define workable solutions
· Plan and Integrate deployment of new and upgraded systems
· Developing and modifying complex integration scripts and programs
· SQL Development and database maintenance (Database normalization, T-SQL, Stored procedure creation)
Minimum Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or related discipline
· 3+ years of relational database experience
Preferred Qualifications
· Proficient in MS Office Suite with advanced expertise in Excel, Access, SSMS, and SSIS
· Knowledge of Transact-SQL and database management concepts
· Working knowledge of integrated database systems.
· Knowledge of Student Information Systems (SIS) (e.g. Jenzabar is a strong plus)
· Knowledge of Salesforce and TargetX is a strong plus
· Data modeling, database design and Analysis Services
· Experience in data ingestion and normalization for various sources (Vendor APIs, Excel, CSV, Alternate databases)
· Ability to work well with a variety of users of different skill levels in sometimes stressful situations.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Ability to work independently, employ effective time management skills to organize and handle multiple highly visible priorities, projects, and products simultaneously
